Poet Jessica Care Moore to Lecture during Black History Month at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Poet Jessica Care Moore will give a lecture at Holy Cross on Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. in Crossroads, in the basement of the Hogan Campus Center at Holy Cross.  The event is free and open to the public.

Moore, the first five-time winner on the television program "It's Showtime at the Apollo" and author of The Words Don't Fit in my Mouth, has been featured in a variety of musical platforms.

The Detroit native brought her poetry to the off-Broadway musical "Born to Sing Mamma 3."  Her poem "The Words Don't Fit in my Mouth" was featured on Antonio Hart's jazz album.
