"Better than Ezra" to Perform at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – The rock band, Better than Ezra, will headline this year's Spring Weekend Concert at Holy Cross on Monday, May 1, 2000. The concert, which begins at 8 p.m. in the Hart Center, will feature a guest performance from Dispatch. Tickets are on sale in the College's bookstore-$10 for students and $15 for guests; they can also be purchased at Strawberries Music and Video Stores for $15 beginning on April 14, 2000. Signed to Elektra Entertainment in 1995, Better than Ezra is best known for its single "Good," featured on the 1994 platinum plus album Deluxe. The band's sound-roots driven, guitar-edged rock-has also been captured on two of its subsequent albums, Friction, Baby (1996) and the more recent, How Does Your Garden Grow? (1998). The New Orleans-based band features Kevin Griffin on vocals and guitar; Tom Drummond on bass; and Travis McNabb on drums.
