Holy Cross Libraries Offer "Food for Fines" Campaign

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross students with overdue library books and other materials can "pay up" and, at the same time, help needy individuals in Worcester.

The Holy Cross libraries are sponsoring an innovative "Food for Fines" campaign through April 22.  Students who contribute a non-perishable food or personal care item will have $1.00 in library fines forgiven.  There is no limit to the number of items than can be donated.  All food donations are welcome, even if fines are not owed.

The food will be donated to the St. Paul's Parish Outreach Program in Worcester.  Last year, the first time the program was offered, more than 800 pounds of food was collected for St. Paul's.
