WORCESTER, Mass. – Participants of the International J. S. Bach Organ Academy will perform a concert on the famed Taylor and Boody Organ on Thursday, June 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph Memorial Chapel at Holy Cross.

The program will include works by Georg Boehm, Dieterich Buxtehude and Johann Sebastian Bach.

The concert will feature eight organ virtuosi from France, Switzerland, Russia, Canada and the United States.  Members of the International J. S. Bach Organ Academy were selected by application and audition and include some of the world's leading young artists.

Holy Cross' award-winning Taylor and Boody Organ, a 52-foot high, 10-ton instrument designed in the tradition of 16th and 17th century Dutch and north German organs, was built in a two-year period by a team of craftsmen led by George K. Taylor and John Boody.  It was dedicated in March 1985.

Admission to the concert is free and open to the public.
