WORCESTER, Mass. – Rev. Michael C. McFarland, S.J., will be inaugurated as the 31st president of the College of the Holy Cross at an installation ceremony at the College on Friday, Sept. 15, at 3:30 p.m. in the Hart Recreation Center.
The installation ceremony will be attended by delegates representing more than 125 colleges and universities from across the nation.
The schedule of inauguration activities also includes:
A Liturgical Celebration on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 4 p.m. in the Saint Joseph Memorial Chapel.
A Panel Presentation about the Holy Cross Mission on Friday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. in the Hogan Campus Center.
A "Fun Run/Walk" with Fr. McFarland on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. It begins behind the Hart Recreation Center. A Health and Wellness Fair will be part of the festivities following the run/walk.
All events are free and open to the public.
