Professor Aleksandar Jokic to Lecture at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Professor Aleksandar Jokic will deliver a lecture on Monday, Feb. 26, at 4 p.m. in the Browsing Room of Dinand Library. Jokic's lecture, titled "What American Peacemakers Should Know about the Balkans," is free and open to the public.

A native of Yugoslavia, Jokic is currently the director of the Center for Philosophical Education in Santa Barbara, Calif., and an assistant professor of philosophy at Portland State University, Ore. He is the author and editor of several books on topics ranging from philosophy of science to collective responsibility for war crimes. He is the editor of "War Crimes and Collective Wrongdoing: A Reader."

Jokic's visit is sponsored by the Peace and Conflict Studies concentration.
