"Seeking Homer" to Perform at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Acoustic-driven rock band "Seeking Homer" will give a concert at 10 p.m. on Friday, March 16, in Crossroads, located in the Hogan Campus Center. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the concert is free and open to the public.

Originally from New York City, Dave Oberacker, Mike Seda, James Dunlop and Tom Connors have been featured across the country at venues such as The Wetlands and Irving Plaza in NYC, the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., Schuba's in Chicago, and The Grape Street in Philadelphia. The release of their most recent album, a double-live CD entitled Live-Wetlands-NYC, is the follow-up to their 1996 Streets and 1998 A Good Hard Smack, which collectively sold over 15,000 copies nationwide.

Seeking Homer is most well known for their live performances, playing at over 325 events, covering 26 states and over 50,000 miles. They have shared the stage with national acts including The Samples, Guster, Moxy Fruvous, Jupiter Coyote, Cowboy Mouth, Everything, Acoustic Junction and Agents of Good Roots. Seeking Homer has also appeared at the American League Division Series in Yankee Stadium and the 2000 AIDS Walk in Boston. In addition, the band recently had their version of "The Star Spangled Banner" selected to contribute to the soundtrack for the 100-year anniversary of the PGA’s US Open, aired nationwide on NBC.
