Women's Studies Month Panel at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – There will be a "Women in Business Panel" on Tuesday, March 20, at 4 p.m. in Room 406 of the Hogan Campus Center. Three businesswomen will speak on a panel regarding the issues that women face in business. Some topics they will cover include the "glass ceiling," the "mommy track" and the importance of networking. Held in celebration of Women's Studies Month, the panel is free and open to the public.

The speakers are as follows:

  • Christine Ryan McCarthy '87 earned her M.B.A. from Babson College (Wellesley, Mass.). She is the director of Alliances Market Development at EMC Corp.
  • Debra Shear earned her B.A. in psychology and B.S. in marketing from the University of Pennsylvania. She is assistant vice president and director of Direct Marketing at Liberty Mutual.
  • Lynn Ashenbrenner earned her B.A. in psychology from Connecticut College. She is a senior search consultant at Prestonwood Associates.

The panel is co-sponsored by the Pre-Business Program and the Women's Studies Concentration at Holy Cross.
