International Travel Expert Gil White to Speak at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – International travel expert Gil White will deliver a lecture titled "Europe & the World on 84 Cents a Day" on Wednesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in Room 519 of the Hogan Campus Center. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the lecture is free and open to the public.

White's presentation is made up of a humorous, informative lecture, slide show and taped conversations with the natives. He gives his audience over 75 cost-saving methods and tips while traveling abroad, including creative ways to obtain free rides, accommodation and food. White also tells his audience how to save on foreign money exchange. He talks about the Eurorail, cycling and car rentals and includes some true anecdotes about foreign travel.

White obtained his education in Australia and the United States. He earned a B.A. in administration in Canada 1982. Currently in his 18th year, he has lectured at over 550 colleges and universities around the world.
