Symposium on Religion and the Brain to be Held at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – There will be a symposium on religion and the brain on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Rehm Library of Smith Hall. The symposium, titled "Holding the Tension: Brain-Psyche-Spirit," is free and open to the public.

Co-sponsored by the Worcester Pastoral Counseling Center (WPCC), the symposium will examine the implications of recent brain research on religion. William Fortier of the WPCC will discuss research related to religious experience, and a panel of commentators will discuss its implications for teaching, aging and pastoral care.
