Organ Concert at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – There will be an organ concert on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. in the St. Joseph Memorial Chapel at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. The concert is free and open to the public.

As part of the Holy Cross Chapel Artists Series, the concert will feature organist McNeil Robinson. The program will include Bach, Buxtehude, Hindemith, McNeil Robinson and Improvisation.

Robinson is chair of the organ department at the Manhattan School of Music. He also serves as director of music and organist at the Park Avenue Christian Church and the Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City. He served for two decades as organist and choirmaster of the Church of St. Mary the Virgin in New York City. Robinson is regarded as one of America's leading organ virtuosos and improvisers. He has appeared as organ soloist for several national conventions of the American Guild of Organists and has toured around the world. In addition to his work as a concert organist and teacher, Robinson is regarded as one of the finest composers in the United States; he has won several awards and received numerous commissions including one from the Archbishop of Canterbury.
