Men's Basketball Team Homecoming

On Friday, March 15, Holy Cross students, faculty, staff and friends celebrated the arrival home of the men's basketball team at the Hart Center after it competed in the NCAA Tournament in St. Louis.

The Crusaders threatened to upset heavily favored Kansas - they were up at half-time by two points and by as much as five points later in the game - but eventually succumbed to the Jayhawks 70-59.

Organized by the Student Government Association and the Office of Student Affairs & Programs, the homecoming celebration featured a speech by team co-captain Ryan Serravalle '02 followed by a pizza- and soda-social.

It was the senior's last game for Holy Cross, capping an outstanding basketball career as a point guard for the Crusaders. The Cross will also lose fellow guard Guillermo Sanchez next year.

Congratulations to all the players, coaches and staff of the Patriot League-champion Crusaders for their outstanding season!
