Holy Cross to Hold Forum on Clergy Sex Abuse Crisis

WORCESTER, Mass. – On Tuesday, October 8 from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the Rehm Library there will be a forum titled "Forging New Perspectives in the Sex Abuse Crisis." Speakers will include William D. Fortier, D. Min.; Rabbi Seth L. Bernstein, D. Min.; and Rev. Dr. Barbara Merritt. This event is free and open to the public.

Dr. William Fortier is the Director of Education at the Worcester Pastoral Counseling Center. He teaches and supervises at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis.

Rabbi Seth Bernstein is the president of the Worcester Pastoral Counseling Center and the vice president of Jewish Family Services. He has been the spiritual leader of Temple Sinai in Worcester since 1987. He teaches at Assumption College and the Solomon Schechter Day School.

Rev. Dr. Barbara Merritt has served as the senior minister at the First Unitarian Church of Worcester for the past 20 years.
