Comedian Greg Fitzsimmons

Saturday, March 15 10 p.m., Crossroads Pub

Hailed by The New York Times as "New York comedy's Golden Boy," Greg Fitzsimmons began his comedy career in 1990, while he was a senior at Boston University. After years of performing smaller venues in Boston and New York, Fitzsimmons got his big break when he was invited to perform at "Just for Laughs," a prestigious international comedy festival held in Montreal, Canada.

Shortly after his performance in Montreal, where he captured the attention of agents, managers and network executives, Fitzsimmons made his television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman. Since then he has appeared on numerous television programs including The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The View, Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn. He has also performed his own standup comedy specials on Comedy Central and the HBO Comedy Showcase.

In 2001, Fitzsimmons received the Jury Award for Best Standup at the 2001 U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colo. He has also been the recipient of the Cable ACE Award for Best Game Show for his work as the host of MTV's critically acclaimed game show, Idiots Savants.
