Playwright and Director Gus Edwards to Speak at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Playwright and director Gus Edwards will speak on Tuesday, April 1 at 4:30 p.m. in the Rehm Library at Holy Cross. His lecture, titled "Black Theatre: The Need for Complete Autonomy," is free and open to the public.

One of America's leading playwrights, Edwards is the author of "Monologues on Black Life," "More Monologues on Black Life," and "50 African American Audition Monologues." He is also a member of the faculty at Arizona State University, where he teaches film and theatre.
