Holy Cross Hosts Lecture on God, Sex and the Meaning of Life

WORCESTER, Mass. – On Monday, Sept. 22 Christopher West, renowned expert on John Paul II's theology of the body, will deliver a lecture titled "God, Sex and the Meaning of Life" at 7:30 p.m. in the Rehm Library at Holy Cross. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Christopher West is a graduate of the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family and is also a visiting professor at the Institute's Melbourne, Australia campus. He is the Theology of the Body Staff Advisor for The GIFT Foundation, a not-for-profit, lay Catholic apostolate dedicated to upholding the Church's teachings on marriage and sexuality in Denver, Colo. Formerly, he was the director of the Office of Marriage and Family Life for the Archdiocese of Denver, and advisor to the Archbishop on issues related to Church teaching on marriage, human sexuality, and family life.

A speaker of international repute, West is well-known to audiences through his seminars and popular audio tapes. He is the author of two books, Good News About Sex and Marriage and John Paul II's Theology of the Body.
