W.K. Kellogg Program Director to Deliver Thomas More Lecture at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Miguel Satut '72, program director at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, will deliver the annual "Thomas More Lecture on Faith, Work and Civic Life" on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. in the Rehm Library at Holy Cross. The lecture is free and open to the public.

In his role as a program director at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Battle Creek, Mich., Satut helps guide Foundation programming in the areas of youth and education. In addition, he is the lead program director for the Engaging Latino Communities for Education (ENLACE) initiative, a six-year, $28 million effort by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation to strengthen the educational pathways and increase opportunities for Latinos to enter and complete college.

Satut began his professional career as a teacher and administrator with the Boston Public Schools. Since then he has held senior leadership positions at several prominent organizations. He was vice president for the Kresge Foundation in Troy, Mich.; president of the Associated Grantmakers of Massachusetts, Inc.; and president of Oficina Hispana, Boston, Mass.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation was founded in 1930 by cereal industry giant and world renowned philanthropist, Will Keith Kellogg. Since its beginning the Foundation has continuously focused on building the capacity of individuals, communities, and institutions to solve their own problems.

The Thomas More Lecture honors a Holy Cross graduate who exemplifies the College's dedication to the integration of faith and learning. It is sponsored by the Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture.
