Help Save the College Hill Civic Association

S.A.D.E.R.s to Hold Fundraiser

The Holy Cross S.A.D.E.R.s (Students Ambassadors Developing External Relations) kindly ask each member of the Holy Cross community to join them in efforts to save the College Hill Civic Association building. Rising insurance rates and home improvement costs are forcing the Civic Association out of their current location at 79 Kendig Street. By contributing just one dollar to this cause, you are helping to strengthen the bond between Holy Cross and the Worcester community. Proceeds raised will help cover insurance expenses and will allow for improvements in the building’s wiring and plumbing.

Why is this important?

The Civic Association has been in existence for over 70 years. They provide programming to bring neighborhood families together and use their current building to hold meetings, community dinners and picnics. In addition, the area girl scouts hold their regular meetings and activities in the building. Holy Cross students enrolled in the Community Mosaic class have been working all semester to create a mosaic for the front of the Civic Association building. Without the building, students will have nowhere to permanently display their work.
