Holy Cross teams end seasons with tournament play

Congratulations Crusader athletes!

The men's basketball team - the Patriot League team regular-season champions - made their first NIT appearance since 1990.  The women's basketball team won its 10th Patriot League Championship title and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.  The men's hockey team competed in post-season Atlantic Hockey play.

Men's basketball Senior forward John Hurley totaled 14 points, seven rebounds and two steals, but it was not enough as the men's basketball team was defeated at St. Joseph's 68-60 in the second round of the NIT. The Crusaders conclude the 2004-2005 season with an overall record of 25-7.

Women's Basketball

The women's team ended the season at 20-11, losing to Ohio State in the first round of the NCAA championship on Sunday, March 20.  Lisa Andrews had 13 points and four blocks in her last game as a Crusader. Men's Ice Hockey

After skating to a scoreless third period Holy Cross fell to Mercyhurst in overtime, 4-3, on Friday, March 18 in the Atlantic Hockey Semifinals. Andrew McKay and Tyler McGregor each posted a goal and added an assist, while linemate Pierre Napert-Frenette recorded two assists. The Crusaders ended their season 16-14-6 overall and 12-7-5 in Atlantic Hockey
