Respected Anthropologist to Give Talk at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Rev. Xavier Albó, S.J., an internationally renowned anthropologist, will give a talk titled "The Andean Region: Politics, Religion and Culture" on April 14 at 7 p.m. in Rehm Library at the College of the Holy Cross. The talk is free and open to the public.

Father Albó is a Jesuit priest and anthropologist who has been working in Bolivia for more than 30 years. He is a recognized authority on Aymara culture and indigenous movements in Latin America. He is cofounder and first director of CIPCA, a center devoted to the investigation and advancement of campesino life and culture.

Father Albó is a native of Spain (Catalonia).
