Catholic Liberal Arts Colleges in the 21st Century to be Subject of Talk at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Mark W. Roche, dean of the College of Arts and Letters at the University of Notre Dame, will give a talk titled "The Catholic Liberal Arts College in the 21st Century: Opportunities, Ideals and Strategies" on April 18 at 4 p.m. in Rehm Library at the College of the Holy Cross.

Roche is the author of Why Literature Matters in the 21st Century (Yale University Press, 2004) and The Intellectual Appeal of Catholicism and the Catholic University (University of Notre Dame Press, 2003).

The lecture is sponsored by the Center for Religion, Ethics and Culture and the department of philosophy.
