Real Life 101: Diary of a young alum

"So what are you doing after graduation?"

It's the question that approximately 700 Holy Cross seniors are called upon to answer each year. Some decide to go straight to graduate school. Others take time off to travel. Still others opt for volunteer service and enter the Peace Corps or Jesuit Volunteer Corps. And, of course, many courageous souls hit the pavement, start job-hunting, and enter the workforce full time.

Affable, spirited and cheerful, Sarah Liang '05, who holds a degree in psychology, decided to dive right into the "real world." Immediately after Commencement, she attended the Tuck Business Bridge program at Dartmouth College, which she completed in August 2005.  A city girl at heart, she then moved to New York City where she began her job search.

Over the next year in an online diary, Sarah will chronicle her first year as a member of the 35,000-member Holy Cross alumni community.
