First-Year Diary

A member of the Class of 2009 chronicles life on the Hill

New friends, new surroundings, new academic settings and a lively social experience make the first year in college one of the most exciting times in a person's life. The first year is also filled with unbridled soul-searching: classes, extracurricular activities, academic programs (and majors!) to choose from; internships to seek out; study abroad programs to consider; and — despite being more than three years away — thoughts of post-graduation opportunities loom large.

Following the popularity of last year’s blog maintained by Jennifer Robert '08, Jenn DeLuca will take us on her own first-year journey on Mount St. James. A Spanish major and member of the First-Year Program, DeLuca will chronicle her thoughts and experiences over the next academic year — and the world of opportunities that mark life at Holy Cross.
