Vince Lombardi Jr. to Give Talk About High Performance Athletes at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Vince Lombardi Jr., the son of the late Vincent T. Lombardi, remembered as one of the greatest football coaches in history, will give a talk titled "High Performance Athletes: What They Do and How They Do It" on Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Hogan Ballroom at the College of the Holy Cross. The talk is free and open to the public.

Vince, one of America’s most sought after motivational speakers, is the author of What It Takes to Be #1: Vince Lombardi on Leadership (2003), The Essential Vince Lombardi (2002), and The Lombardi Rules (2002), all published with McGraw-Hill.

Vince earned a law degree and maintained a private practice while serving in the Minnesota legislature. He switched from law and politics to professional football in 1975 when he joined the Seattle Seahawks as an assistant to the general manager. He went on to become assistant executive director of the National Football League Management Council as a labor negotiator and later led two United States Football League teams as a president and general manager.
