Blog: Cincinnati Native Gives the Lowdown on All Things Holy Cross

October 26th, 2010 by

NAME Megan Whitacre ’14

HOMETOWN Cincinnati

AREAS OF STUDY Classics major

WHY SHE CHOSE HOLY CROSS “The excellent academics, enthusiastic students, Jesuit values, great location, and — most importantly — because the first time I stepped on campus, something just felt right.”

ACTIVITIES Ballroom dance team, tutoring through Student Programs for Urban Development, and Eta Sigma Phi (classics honor society)

WHAT SHE’S MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO “Meeting new people, taking interesting classes, Classics Day, and my first New England winter!”

WHY SHE’S BLOGGING
“As a senior, I was nervous about living in a different part of the country, especially when most of my high school friends stayed in Ohio. Reading the blogs helped me figure out what life was like on campus and in Worcester, which was really comforting and solidified my decision to come here. Now I want to give the out-of-towner’s perspective for you!”
