Blog Offers Information to Students Preparing for Career in Business

PROGRAM Prebusiness

WHAT THE PROGRAM IS Open to students of all class years and from all majors, the program features a faculty advisor who works with students to increase their awareness of and preparation for business careers after Holy Cross. The program includes academic advising, summer internships and special programming. Working with the Career Planning Center and the Summer Internship Program, the prebusiness advisor alerts students to many interesting events and opportunities on campus.

WHY THEY’RE BLOGGING “We want our blog to be an informal way of reaching out to prebusiness students,” says David Chu, director of the Ciocca Office of Entrepreneurial Studies and prebusiness advisor. “This blog will let students know what is going on in our program and in the business world, and allow us to start discussions and link to applicable content on the web.”

WHAT THEIR BLOGGING ABOUT “Our posts will range from spotlighting upcoming events to writing about important happenings in the business world,” he says. “We’ll highlight clubs and classes that prebusiness students might be interested in and relay helpful advice from alumni who work in business.  We anticipate having some guest student bloggers who will write about their experiences participating in the Executive Leadership Workshop and Summer Business Program.”
