"Two Minutes With...Jacqueline Peterson"

Worcester Mag

Jacqueline Peterson, dean of students and vice president for student affairs at the College of the Holy Cross and a breast cancer survivor, is featured in Worcester Mag’s “Two Minutes With…” section.

Peterson talks about her battle with a rare form of cancer. “Triple negative breast cancer represents only about 10 percent of breast cancers and to date has no hormone treatment that effectively prevents, slows down or stops this type of cancer,” she shares with the reporter.

“I received such an outpouring of support from so many in the Holy Cross community and people would share their stories of their experience with cancer themselves, mothers, sisters, aunts and so on. It affects people from all walks of life,” she told Worcester Mag. “People understand the seriousness of cancer and the importance of supporting all efforts to support the research and programs that can result in positive changes for the future.”
