'At Holy Cross, Chris Matthews recalls Kennedy era'

Chris Matthews ‘67, host of MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews” and NBC’s “The Chris Matthews Show,” returned to his alma mater to talk about his new book “Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero” (Simon & Schuster, 2011). After his talk, he signed copies of his new book. 

According to the Telegram & Gazette: “Matthews analyzed past presidents and speculated on future ones to a packed audience at the College of the Holy Cross.”

He even discussed the current presidential election saying, “Gov. Mitt Romney is the man to beat among Republicans, and predicted he might even take home a debate win against Mr. Obama.”

Before his talk, Matthews received a key to the city from Konstantina Lukes, councilor-at-large.
