The Telegram & Gazette highlighted the College of the Holy Cross’ 15th Annual Holy Cross Cares Day, which took place on March 24. A photograph of Rev. Philip L. Boroughs, S.J., president of the College, who spent the day cleaning up the College Hill neighborhood’s Cookson Park with approximately 50 students, ran with the story.
In addition, there were another 250 students, faculty, and staff, and more than 400 alumni from across the country who participated in Holy Cross Cares Day. Volunteers performed service-oriented activities, including painting, raking and picking up trash at schools, churches and parks throughout the city.
