Community engagement internship will raise awareness of campaign to address global hunger

WHERE SHE’S INTERNING As a community engagement intern at Oxfam America, Daly will help Oxfam America coordinate nationwide volunteer teams to participate in this summer’s Coldplay tour and promote awareness of poverty relief and humanitarian response to hunger through Oxfam’s GROW campaign.

INTERNSHIP DURATION May 29 – August 10

WHAT SHE’S MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO “Getting to work for an organization with goals and passions similar to my own, and gaining experience working in a professional office.”

WHY SHE’S BLOGGING “I would have never had the opportunity to intern at Oxfam America had it not been for Holy Cross. I want prospective and current students to know the opportunities that Holy Cross offers and especially the wonderful opportunities through the Career Planning Office and SIP program.”

CAREER GOAL A career in environmental policy, possibly for a nongovernmental organization or in the public sector.

ABOUT SIP Internships through the College’s Summer Internship Program are developed through the strong network of Holy Cross alumni, parents, and friends throughout the country and are earmarked and designed specifically for Holy Cross students. This year 150 students have internships at 146 sites offered through the program.
