'Top Producers of U.S. Fulbright Scholars by Type of Institution, 2012-13'

The College of the Holy Cross is among bachelor’s institutions with the highest number of Fulbrights awarded to its faculty, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education, which published its annual “Top Producers of U.S. Fulbright Scholars by Type of Institution” list on Oct. 28.

In the past year, two Holy Cross professors have earned these prestigious fellowships: Pedrag Cicovacki, professor of philosophy and director of Peace and Conflict Studies, and Jennie Germann Molz, assistant professor of sociology. While Cicovacki is currently conducing a research project titled “Educating for Peace, Nonkilling, and Humanity” at Banaras University in Varanasi, India, Molz is performing a cultural study of tourism and sustainable hospitality at the University of Lapland in Rovaniemi, Finland.

Founded in 1967, the Fulbright Scholar Program is America’s international flagship academic exchange program and is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural affairs. The program operates in more than 150 countries worldwide.
