'Holy Cross perfect fit for McNamara family'

Telegram & Gazette

The Telegram & Gazette profiled Holy Cross varsity hockey teammates and brothers, Mike ‘15 and Joe McNamara ‘16, who chose to attend the College of the Holy Cross despite their Boston College roots.  The brothers grew up across the street from Boston College and their mother, father, and grandfather were all Boston College Eagles during their college years.  Now, as hockey standouts at Holy Cross, they are turning their family into Crusader fans.  These days, their grandfather can even be seen with a Holy Cross hat and purple sweater.

"In a way, he kind of laughed and was like, 'Oh my God! I've got two grandsons now going to Holy Cross,'." Mike told the Telegram & Gazette. “Maybe he didn't want to admit it, but I think he was happy in the end that we chose such an excellent institution.”
