Italian Organist to Make American Debut at Opening of the Holy Cross Chapel Artists Series

Italian organist Andrea Toschi will make his American debut as he kicks off the 2014-15 College of the Holy Cross Chapel Artists Series on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. in the St. Joseph Memorial Chapel. The performance is free, open to the public, and handicap accessible.

The program will include a musical tour of Italy, featuring works by Frescobaldi, Arresti, Pasquini, and Valerj, as well as a 300th birthday tribute to C.P.E. Bach.

Toschi, a professor of organ at the Conservatory of Music in Piancenza, Italy, and organist at St. Agostino in Modena and St. Maria della Misericordia in Bologna, has performed throughout Europe, Russia, and South America. He has also recorded music extensively.
