Faculty and Students: Since the College will have an early release for non-essential employees today at 3 p.m., individual faculty members will decide whether to hold class today between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.

February 1, 2015 - 4 p.m. ET TO: Holy Cross Students, Faculty and Staff

As you are probably already aware, we are under a winter storm warning from 9 p.m. on Feb. 1 to until 1 a.m. on Feb. 2. We are expected to get anywhere between 8 and 14 inches of snow beginning at midnight tonight and through most of the day tomorrow. As of now, reports call for the heavier snow to occur on Monday from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Our grounds crew will be on campus early tomorrow morning to start clearing the snow. All of the equipment and personnel are ready to go and they plan to work to keep the campus open and operational.

At this time, we do not anticipate any campus delay or closing.

Students: Plan on a normal class schedule, but you may want to check with your professors to confirm any changes.

Faculty and Staff: Please refer to our Inclement Weather Policy, and notify your department chair or supervisor if you plan on being late or taking the day off.

Information on parking: Because of the challenge of snow removal, some reserved and/or individual parking spots are blocked by snow. Please do not park in areas where there are cones or large piles of snow.

Most stairways will be clear, but some pathways are closed and so indicated. Don’t walk on un-plowed, un-shoveled paths, and wherever you walk, wear weather-appropriate shoes!

We will continue to monitor this storm and keep you informed. Again, at this time we do not anticipate any delay or closing.
