Holy Cross Announces Holy Week and Easter Services

Holy Cross will be holding Holy Week and Easter services over the next several days.



March 24 Holy Thursday Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper, 7 p.m., Mary Chapel The Easter Triduum begins with the Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper which celebrates the institution of the Eucharist and the priesthood, as well as Jesus’ message of charity through the symbolic washing of feet.

March 25 Good Friday Celebration of the Lord’s Passion, 3 p.m., Mary Chapel The celebration of the Easter Triduum continues as the Christian community gathers at the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion to participate in the Adoration of the Cross and to share in communion together.

March 26 Holy Saturday Easter Vigil, 8 p.m., Chapel Plaza/Mary Chapel Marking the most significant point of the Church’s year, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ at the Easter Vigil. Richly symbolic, it is a service of light, song, scripture, water, and Eucharist.

March 27 Easter Sunday Easter Sunday Mass, 9 a.m., St. Joseph Memorial Chapel All are invited to conclude the Lenten journey with this joyous service on Easter Sunday.
