Softball Player is Awarded Two Scholarships for Leadership and Achievement

Varsity softball player Taylor Moss ’18, whose father was one of the firefighters who responded to the attacks on Sept. 11 in New York City, received scholarships from The National Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children’s Foundation (NLEAFCF), and Families of Freedom, both firefighter foundations, for her exceptional leadership, community service and scholastic achievement.

“The scholarships definitely mean a lot to me because they opened up a lot of doors that allowed me to go away to school,” said Moss. “Sept. 11 is something that has been a part of my life, coming from New York and coming from the family I come from. My dad really earned it, but it’s nice that there are people out there willing to help.”
