Kalif Raymond ’16, former wide receiver for the College of the Holy Cross football team, has signed a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos, a milestone that was covered locally by the Telegram & Gazette.

“The NFL has always been an aspiration for me, even when I came in (to college) as a freshman because when I attack something, my ultimate goal is to achieve the highest level I can,” Raymond says. “I’ve put in so much time and effort, why not shoot for the NFL? Obviously, academics and my degree mean more than anything to me, but to have a degree and still be young and be able to hone my football skills, why not take a shot?”

Raymond’s collegiate career highlights include 155 passes for 1,683 yards and 14 scores, while recording 4,059 all-purpose yards with 18 total touchdowns. This season, Raymond completed 74 receptions, 978 yards and nine touchdowns. He also returned 21 punts for 201 yards and a score, and 14 kickoffs for 335 yards and a touchdown.
