‘A striking rise for Rivers School grad at Holy Cross’

Boston Globe

The Boston Globe recently spotlighted College of the Holy Cross student-athlete Brendan King ’17, a pitcher for the baseball team advancing to the Patriot League Championship. Referred to as the team’s “dependable workhorse” this season in the article, King was named two-time Patriot League Pitcher of the week during this season and has committed to playing with the Cape Cod Baseball League’s Falmouth Commodores.

Off the field, King is fulfilling his mathematics major at the College. “I had a great math professor (David Damiano) my first semester at Holy Cross and his course was thought-provoking,” King is quoted saying in the article. “It made me visualize functions in three dimensions which I found interesting. I plan to go into finance and would use the critical thinking skills that math has taught me.”

The Holy Cross baseball team is playing No. 1 seed Navy in Annapolis, Md. on May 21 at 1 p.m., and on May 22 at 1 p.m. in the Patriot League Championship. Follow their progress here.
