NAME Nicholas Mario Guarracino ’18

HOMETOWN Billerica, Mass.

AREAS OF STUDY Italian and classics double major

WHERE HE’S STUDYING Rome, Italy

WHY HE CHOSE ITALY “I could not miss a chance to study and live in the Eternal City. I love the idea of seeing the subject of my studies “in the wild”. I’m one who enjoys Latin Masses and Greek Dramas in the original. To study in Rome, ancient and modern, is a dream come true.”

WHAT HE’S MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO “I aspire first to get lost in Rome, and then to never get lost in her again. If possible I want to know the city like the back of my hand, as if I was born and raised there.”

WHY HE’S BLOGGING “Because it’s fun! And one must record their adventures abroad, whether to keep a travel diary or a scrapbook. Blogging also provides me the proof that yes, I did indeed do all those wicked awesome things in Rome.”
