Orlando Baxter ’98 Makes Comedy Debut on “Conan”

recent performance of Tim Harrington ’10 of the Boston-based duo, Tall Heights.

Having performed both nationally and internationally as a traveling comedian, the Worcester native told the Telegram & Gazette that he always wanted to do a “late-night spot.” The dream became a reality when Whitney Cummings, a fellow comedian touring  with him, connected Baxter with one of her contacts. Over the past year Baxter worked with JP Buck, the producer and booker for stand up comedy on “Conan,” to develop the set that aired on TBS.

For just under five minutes, Baxter entertained the studio audience and viewers at home, joking about how a career as a comedian compares to his first career as an in-school suspension teacher.
