Kalif Raymond ’16 Promoted to Broncos Active Roster

Denver Broncos | The Denver Post | 9News | CBS Sports

Former Holy Cross wide receiver Kalif Raymond ’16, an economics major from Lawrenceville, GA, has been promoted to the Denver Broncos active roster. In the wake of placing fullback Andy Janovich on injured reserve, Head Coach Gary Kubiak announced the team would move Raymond, a member of the practice squad, to the active roster with the promise that he will play this season.

“He’s going to play,” Kubiak was quoted saying in an article posted by the Broncos. “He understands what we’re doing offensively and he can go in there and play in some of our three- and four-wide-receiver sets. So we’ll give him a chance to help us out.”

Kobiak saw this as an opportunity to give Raymond, whom the article calls “an explosive young player,” the opportunity to make an impact.

“When I told the team this morning we were activating him, he got a big hand in the room, Kobiak shares. “[That shows] the type of respect he’s gotten around here.”
