Even though state and national economies are slowing down, confidence in the business environment is the highest it has been in Massachusetts since 2004, the Boston Business Journal reports. Katherine Kiel, professor of economics and chair of the economics and accounting department at the College of the Holy Cross, lent her expertise in urban economics to explain the spike in confidence, particularly in the realm of manufacturing.
