Data: New Report Shows Success of Class of 2016 Graduates

Class’ average starting salary higher than national average

Center for Career Development at Holy Cross on the Class of 2016, the answer is: whatever you want.

After polling the Class of 2016, with an 87 percent response rate, the report finds that the newly minted alumni went on to pursue full-time positions, graduate school, volunteering, internships and fellowships.

In the professional world, the members of the Class of 2016 have landed in a wide range of industries —from health care and education to financial services and not-for-profits — with an average starting salary of $50,534. The class’ average starting salary came in higher than the national average — of $50,359 — for 2016 bachelor degree recipients, according to a survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). NACE’s survey considered a variety of higher education institutions, including computer science and engineering schools.
