Labor Organizer to Speak at Holy Cross

WORCESTER, Mass. – Kati Griffith, will give a public lecture entitled "Academics and Activism: Organizing Women in Sweatshops in Latin America" on Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at 4 p.m., in Room 304 of the Hogan Campus Center at Holy Cross.  It is free and open to the public.

Griffith will discuss her work with the American Friends Service Committee organizing industrial workers on the U.S.-Mexico border.

A member of the Holy Cross Class of 1997 and a Fulbright Scholar, she is scheduled to begin studying in El Salvador in January.
