WORCESTER, Mass. – Kati Griffith, will give a public lecture entitled “Academics and Activism: Organizing Women in Sweatshops in Latin America” on Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at 4 p.m., in Room 304 of the Hogan Campus Center at Holy Cross. It is free and open to the public.
Griffith will discuss her work with the American Friends Service Committee organizing industrial workers on the U.S.-Mexico border.
A member of the Holy Cross Class of 1997 and a Fulbright Scholar, she is scheduled to begin studying in El Salvador in January.
This event is sponsored by Latin American Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Women’s Studies, Graduate Studies, and the Office of the College Chaplains.
