Holy Cross Announces Spring Reading and Lecture Series

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross will host two authors in the month of February as part of the Jenks spring reading and lecture series.  Sponsored by the Lannan Foundation, all events are free and open to the public.

The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. - Peter Maass, author of Love Thy Neighbor: A Story of War and contributor to the Washington Post, The New Yorker, and The New Republic, will give a lecture in the Browsing Room of Dinand Library.

Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. - Christopher Merrill, the William H. Jenks Chair in Contemporary Literature at Holy Cross, will give a lecture entitled "Translations from a War Zone," in the Browsing Room of Dinand Library.  Merrill is the author of Watch Fire, The Old Bridge: The Third Balkan War and the Age of Refugee, and The Grass of Another Country: A Journey Through the World of Soccer.
