Video: At Holy Cross, Conducting Hands-On Research With Science Faculty is Par for the Course

Four professors and their students share their experiences working in labs

Holy Cross students do not learn science solely by attending lectures and reading textbooks. From their first science course to their most sophisticated senior research projects, students work in labs that are specially designed to encourage hands-on, discovery-based exploration.

The new Integrated Science Complex, which opened in January, has augmented these opportunities by uniting student and faculty researchers from across scientific disciplines, as well as stimulating more collaboration and sharing of sophisticated equipment.

In a short video, four professors and their students — from biology, chemistry, mathematics and computer science, and physics — take us inside their labs and talk about their original research.
