Important Information Related to Inclement Weather Conditions

Due to expected worsening weather conditions this afternoon, an early release for all non-essential personnel** will take place at noon today, Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.

Information for students

Thursday afternoon classes will be held as scheduled, unless you hear directly from your professor about a cancellation.

  • The Hart Center and Fieldhouse will both close at 4 p.m. today (Loyola Fitness Center will remain open.)
  • Hogan Campus Center will be open until 1 a.m., with some services and dining options available.
  • Kimball Dining will be open normal hours. Lower Kimball will close at 3 p.m. today.
  • Dinand Library will be open until 1 a.m.

Normal campus operations will resume at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 14. Campus Dining Services will resume as scheduled at 7 a.m. Friday.

Important Note: Because of ice and snow conditions, plows will be operating on campus all night. Please minimize walking on campus tonight, and if you must be outside, be alert for snow removal vehicles.

Today’s last campus shuttle to Union Station will depart from in front of O’Kane Hall at 12:30 p.m.

Winter parking rules on campus will be in effect until 8 a.m. Friday.

**Essential personnel are defined as the following: designated trades, dining, and environmental services. Also, all staff in grounds and public safety are essential personnel.
