Renowned Organist Jonathan William Moyer to Perform as Part of the Chapel Artists Series

Internationally renowned organist Jonathan William Moyer will perform as part of the Chapel Artist Series on Sunday, Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. in St. Joseph Memorial Chapel at the College of the Holy Cross. The concert program, “The Chorale tradition after the age of Johann Sebastian Bach,” will feature works of Liszt, Oley, Krebs, Knecht, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Karg-Elert and Reger.  The performance is free, open to the public, and handicap accessible.

Jonathan William Moyer maintains a dynamic career as organist, conductor, and pedagogue. He is music director and organist of the Church of the Covenant in Cleveland, Ohio, and is an assistant professor of organ at Oberlin College. He has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan, including such venues as Wellesley College, Washington National Cathedral, Princeton University Chapel, St. Thomas Episcopal Church (NYC), Gloucester and Norwich Cathedrals (UK), the Musashino Civic Cultural Hall (Tokyo), and the Dvorak Spring Festival in Prague and Vienna. Moyer has performed with several renowned ensembles and placed highly in a number of organ competitions worldwide.
