Holy Cross Honors Six Employees for Outstanding Service

The College of the Holy Cross has honored five employees with the 2014 Claire B. Burns Award. Now in its 17th year, the  annual awards program was established and endowed in 1997 by Donal J. Burns class of 1949 in honor of his wife Claire, an alumnae of the class of 1990, who passed away in November of 2010. The awards are given annually to non-exempt employees of the College, currently working or retired, who in the fulfillment of their responsibilities have demonstrated, fostered, and promoted the spirit of family, which is a treasured characteristic of the Holy Cross community.

The award recipients listed below were honored at a banquet held in the Hogan Campus Center  Ballroom on Tuesday, March 10. Congratulations to:

During his tenure with the College, Fr. O’Halloran served as the chair of the psychology department, assistant chaplain, rector of the Jesuit Community, trustee, vice president of the College, and special assistant to the president.
