Photo Gallery: 2015 Summer Construction, Renovation and Maintenance Across Campus

While the buzz of students and faculty has receded across campus for the summer, the buildings and walkways have instead been filled with the sounds of power tools and bulldozers.

With more than 45 projects reaching all corners of campus, crews have been working throughout the summer to ready the residence halls, academic buildings, offices, and recreational facilities for the return of students in just under a month.

These projects have ranged from fresh coats of paint in Hanselman Hall, to new flooring and railings on the Hogan Campus Center’s main stairway, to a renovated landscape on the roof of Dinand Library. Additionally — while not on our immediate campus — demolition and construction of the new Thomas P. Joyce ’59 Contemplative Center in West Boylston, Mass. is well underway.

As a result of the great care of our campus, both during the academic year and over the course of the summer, the College was recently ranked No. 8 in the country on Best Choice Schools’ list of “The 50 Most Beautiful Urban College Campuses.”
